She further said that, "Love Aaj Kal is one of my favourite films and I must've seen it a dozen times on DVD. The plot of the Telugu version has been changed to suit the taste of mass audiences and I think the last 20 minutes leave you spellbound. My character, Meera, is very stylish. I could relate to her a lot perhaps because she's very impulsive. Jayanth insisted that my character be loud and that I wear bright colours and eye shadow. Clearing the air, the actress recently told media, "How many times can these guys get me married? I get very upset when people publish such inaccurate reports. If I'm getting married, I will announce it to the world as I have nothing to hide. As of today, I'm yet to find Mr Right."

The film was earlier titled 'Sultaan – The Warrior' but is now renamed as 'Rana'. Trisha's entry in 'Rana' has added glam quotient in this 3D animation film in which she will share screen space with the real Rajinikanth.

Quiz the actress if she grew close to any animal while shooting and she replies with a grin. “During the shoot of my Telugu film NuvvostananteNenoddanta na, I became close with the pomeranian in the film. He provided me great company throughout the shoot. On that note, let me also tell you that I am against shooting with animals illegally.”

And she reserves special praise for co-star Akshay Kumar. “Akshay’s known to have great comic timing, I think even my comic timing is good as I have done lots of Tamil and Telugu comedy flicks. Besides comedy, the film has its share of emotional moments too. Working with Akshay has been a pleasant experience, he has been a good teacher. I have learnt a lot from him,” she confesses. Is her three-film contract with the superstar still on? “Of course. I have to do another film for Akshay’s production house, either with him or some other actor,” she discloses.
Now that she is 26, does she think, she should have kick started her B-town innings, a bit earlier? “I don’t think so. It doesn’t matter too much when you make your debut in Bollywood, what matters is the kind of project you make your debut in. I had received a couple of Hindi film offers in the past, but they didn’t seem exciting. So, when my mentor Priyadarshan offered me this meaty role, I just grabbed it,” she says. Trisha’s also signed Kamal’s next film, simply after hearing the story line over the phone. “The plot sounded interesting. Working with Kamal sir is a great honour, so it’s like a double bonanza for me,” she confesses.

Initially, Trisha was supposed to play the role enacted by Kareena Kapoor in the original. Jab We Met was a big hit in Hindi which featured Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles. The feel-good romantic entertainer won the hearts of youth straight away and was hot property down south for a remake. Bujjigadu has promos that look like this could have the Puri stamp on it, typically with a crazy character as the protagonist, lots of dishum-dishum and entertaining humor and a love story in the crux. It would still have qualified for that were it not for the routine feel of the entire movie and the lacklustre second half.  Story :Bujji runs away from home after his neighbor and love interest Chitti refuses to speak to him over a trivial fight; promising to speak after 12 years and then marry him. Years later, Bujji who grows up away from his family in Chennai returns to Vizag to find that Chittis family shifted base to Hyderabad. He gets stuck in a police case because of his friend Satti, a petty smuggler and gets a contract to kill in the jail. The target is Sivanna, whom his rival gang are trying to wipe out for the longest time. Bujjis in Hyderabad, searching for Chitti, who is also desperately trying to locate him. His attempt on Sivannas life is futile but he lands up in Sivannas house and his motives go for a toss. Story, Screenplay and Direction : Slowly, bad is becoming the new good even in Telugu cinema. The change is subtle, but it is there. People who kill, take contracts to kill, gangsters, anti-social elementsare no longer the bad guys only. They can be good guys in the bad business. Shankar Goud of Dhee is one such character in recent times who clicked with the audiences. Pokiri of course is an undercover cop, so that doesnt count. Bujji and Sivanna, on the other hand, are actually speaking anti-social, but that seems not to be an issue-they are still the Heroes. That apart, the movie itself has some entertaining bits, where the actual love story is concerned. That story creates interest, the gang wars and the rival gang leader taking a liking to the killer hired to finish him off-that creates interest. The concepts by itself are interesting, but the narrative is unable to sustain that interest. The second half fizzles out slowly but surely, and the only thing that keeps the attention is that Chitti doesnt get to know Bujjis identity till the nth moment, because he introduces himself as Rajnikant. The whole Tamil angle is new, but it would work out well were the rest of the movie as strong as Prabhass Tamil. There is a fight in a poultry farm in the beginning where the actor gets to show off his new lean look. The rest of the action sequences (there are many) are routine, but the one where he tries to kill Sivanna is okay. Puri always works out the protagonists characters details very fervently, and tends to create quirky characters-thats his strength. Bujji has that, at least, and what with his calling everyone Darling and killing a guy with a single punch, he keeps you awake. The entire movie, unfortunately, doesnt try too hard to do that.  | ||

There are a number of rumours doing the rounds in Tollywood about the story of the film. Some rumours even say the writer Madhubabu (detective Shadow fame) has provided the story for the film. But Madhubabu denied that he has provided the story for the film.
Director VV Vinayak's next film will be with NTR for the producer Kodali Nani. The film will go on floors immediately after NTR completes his current project Kantri.Vinayak is already ready with script and going around to select the star cast for the film. Vinayak is in consultation with Trisha and she likely to be finalized opposite NTR.
If so, it is the first film in the combination of NTR and Trisha. And Trisha will be the second heroine after Shriya who paired up almost with all the top heroes of Tollywood.
Trisha paired up with Prabhas, Mahesh, Megastar, Ravi teja, Venkatesh and Nag (King) so far, now with NTR, so except Balakrishna, she acted with all the top stars of Tollywood.
