If you think Nayantara has decided to quit films after Shri Rama Rajyam then you will be surprised by this news. We heard the actress has been approached to do an item song in Osthi , the Tamil remake of Dabangg .
Reportedly before Nayantara, Shriya Saran was considered for the same item number. Though Nayan is yet to give her nod, the actress is certainly open to new offers. The hot itemnumber which was done by Malaika Arora in Dabangg gained a lot of publicity and helped the film too. Osthi makers are looking for the same hot treatment to their item number.
Silambarasan aka Simbu has already started shooting with Richa Gangopadhyay who plays Sonakshi's role in the film. It seems director Dharani has to wait for Nayan's approval before making any announcement.
Osthi was officially launched in May and is scheduled to release end of this year.
A source says, "Yes, the couple is contemplating on marrying in the Maximum City because in any city in Tamil Nadu, it might be hard for them to keep the paparazzi at bay.''

Sources have it that the delay in reaching a settlement with Ramlatha over their divorce came in the way of Prabhu's marriage with Nayan. But now that the both parties have settled on a mutually accepted alimony, its time for wedding bells to ring again for the choreographer-actor turned director.
Also, Nayantara is currently shooting her Telugu film Sri Ramarajyam with Balakrishna and Prabhu is on the verge of completing his Tamil film Itch with Jayam Ravi and Hansika Motwani. NAYANATARA was in the news recently. The Tamil Film Producer's Council recently banned her from Tamil films, but the actress patched up with them and they immediately revoked the ban. Irrespective of the ban, the actress is now looking for more Telugu films. She is already doing a Telugu film opposite young actor NTR, directed by VV VINAYAK, and she's now signed another film opposite RAVI TEJA. Nayanthara has been banned from working in Tamil films! The powerful Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) and South Indian Artists Association, referred to as the Nadigar Sangam, have jointly issued a statement asking producers to refrain from working with the numero uno actress in south Indian films. The ban was imposed after director Lingusamy and his producer brother Subash Chandra Bose filed a complaint against her stating that she had refused to return the Rs 20 lakhs she had taken as advance from them for their film Paiyya. Nayanthara was signed for this film opposite Paruthiveeran Karthi for a record salary of Rs 1crore. It was the talk of Kollywood, as no actress has ever been offered such a whopping amount in an industry in which heroines are paid only in the range of Rs 40 to 50 lakhs.
This hype resulted in the project getting a lot of publicity. Soon, producers cited the globaleconomic recession and urged Nayanthara to take a cut in her salary. This led to a war of words between the producers and the actress and she was unceremoniously dropped from the project and replaced by Tamanna.
Later, the producers tried to work out a compromise formula by which she could retain Rs 5 lakhs as compensation from the Rs 20 lakhs advance that had already been paid to her. This irked the star. Speaking to Hyderabad Times from the sets of her Telugu film with NTR in the city, Nayanthara retorted, “Who is Lingusamy to decide my compensation after I sat at home for three months waiting for his film to start? I lost out on a big Telugu and Tamil film. My losses are huge. Who will compensate me for my time? The ban on me is totally unfair and smacks of double standards.”
While Nayan might have received the rough end of the council’s decision, the industry has many big male stars who have taken advance in crores and are yet to fulfil their commitments. She is also shocked that the Nadigar Sangam has washed its hands off her when she is in a difficult position.
Nayan concludes, “Nobody can force me to do anything. I’m a fiercely independent woman who has no insecurities and who values her self-respect more than anything else. In this case, I’m being targeted because I’m an actress but I will fight for justice.”

Story:Satyam (Vishal) is the assistant commissioner of police who takes charge in the city police station. Tough and straightforward, he is also a warm and caring son devoted to taking careof his physically-challenged mother. At that time, the department is given directions for some urgent and inevitable shooting encounters. But AC Satyam upsets the police plans and saves those menacing rowdies from the police. When everyone is so piqued by his behaviour, Satyam offers an explanation saying that the keepers of law are not supposed to uphold it. The department is convinced by this striking explanation. Apparently, the Chief Minister is unwell and there is a severe tug-of-war that goes on between the next three officials who are in line for the position. Satyam is called in to handle the sudden unrest in the law and order that arises in the state. Meanwhile, the problem takes a threatening shape when one of the power-hungry minions chooses to appoint his goon to eliminate the rest from the race.
When the goon is all set to kill his prey, a third person substitutes for him and carries out the killings. Both the hired assassin and the minister are hassled about the intervention. Knowing their enemy-trail, they suspect the third surviving minister as the quiet culprit. But soon, he also becomes a prey to the killer’s unfailing target. Sensing trouble, the minister ropes Satyam in for his protection and for the investigation of the murders. Satyam digs through the maze and while getting through his mission to track down his final victim, Satyam meets the killer face-to-face.
An ensuing flashback reveals the background of the killer as well as his connection with the super cop. What is the connection? In what way is he linked to Satyam’s sad past? Does it reveal Satyam’s steep and gruelling climb to the top? Has the meeting revived any old confrontations? Has the rethink brought any sad truths to the surface? Do Satyam’s usual stratagems work in toning down the killer’s angst and goal? Who wins at last, Satyam, the principled cop, the merciless picador or the blood-thirsty bunch who is all set to clamber to the top? Watch the action extravaganza to know!
Performances:
At the prime of his career, Vishal has indeed entered a challenging domain and his hard work and action spell nothing else but success! Watching him on the move-making those adroit moves and stunning action bits which pack so much perseverance and control or making those fluent knock-outs, cuts and thrusts in the manner and style of a master fighter is to know what real action is all about. Nayantara is adequate. Upendra’s character is one which brings in the surprise element in the story. He does his role well.
The cinematography particularly in the Vishal-Nayan hot song sequence as well as all through the action scenes is just amazing. Music, particularly the re-recording bits are good.Rajasekhar direction is not impressive.
Vishal makes the strong impression of a super-hero cum cop. Salute is indeed a spectacular production from the GK Films Corporation stables but the story is quiet confusing. In totality, the film failed to impress audiences.
Final Verdict:The movie is not impressive.Youth can like watching the movie for Nayanatara.Overall a routine average flick from vishal team.
GK Film Corporation’s Vikram Krishna produced; Vishal’s action-cop film Sathyam has been censored, with ‘UA’ certificate.It’s Telugu version Salute however has been cleared with an ‘A’ certificate, which is the norm for all action movies produced in Tollywood.
Among the cuts given by the censors, the steamy song Chellame, Chellame… picturised on Vishal and Nayanthara has been trimmed. Some dialogue muting is also there.
However Vishal is happy that the film has been censored and is now ready for release on August 14. Concludes a relieved Vishal: “I’m very happy and contended the way the film has shaped out. The censors have been nice and they also acknowledged the fact that the film has a powerful message to convey.”

'Salute' features Nayantara in a glamorous role and has reportedly performed in a steamy manner with Vishal in a song sequence. Ever since the movie's stills were published in the press there has been a lot of talk of the 'onscreen closeness' of the lead pair. Many even started wondering if Nayantara was forced to step on the glamour element.When a section of the press voiced this to the director of the film Rajashekar, during a press meet held recently, he categorically denied forcing Nayantara into appearing sexy in the film.

Nayantara has confirmed that she is not in love with either Vishal or any of the actors from Tamil, Telugu or Malayalam film world. In her Valentine's Day exclusive interview to Grihshobha, the leading womens fortnightly, she said that there are some reports which were published in some popular Tamil magazines and dailies regarding her alleged love affair with actor Vishal recently.
"They are all wrong and baseless. I don't understand why these people show such great interest in t he details of my private life. First of all, I'm not in love with any one. I found it amusing to read about my love affair with Vishal that was published in all the leading print media publications. Please confirm these things before you publish such items", Nayantarasays with a sigh of agony.
She further said, " Vishal and me are currently working together in Sathyam, which is being produced by his brother. He has every rights and freedom to say whatever he wants to related to the film and his personal life. He never spoken of me as his lover though. The media has made its own inferences and has published gossip about me which is not true. That is how these storeis have been published. As far as I am concerned, Vishal is an excellent co-artist. We share a great rapport on sets."
"At this stage of my career, I am focusing only on my career and I am not looking to fall in love. I have learned enough from my past experience." On her smooching scene with Dhanush, Nayantara said that that was also an imagination of the media.

Nayanatara is no more the brand ambassador of Chennai Super Kings as she was not able to keep up with the commitment of making an appearance in all the seven CSK matches which were to be held in Chennai. Nayantara is now better referred to as 'bikini baby' in Tamilnadu ever since she acted in the film 'Billa' in that costume.Although she has grown highly bold and practical in life, she hasn't left her devotion for God. She is secular in approach-goes to churches and also temples equally. She is an ardent devotee of the lord at Nellaippar Temple in Tirunelveli. She spent her time there before starting her new Tamil project.
Nayan regretted that she visited the temple after a long time and last time she visited that place when she debuted with Tamil film Ayya'.
